As many of you may know, a Category 5 hurricane is bearing down on Florida. Landfall is expected this weekend and depending on the speed of the storm, is likely to hit the South Florida region near our Coral Springs facility. The impact to our operations in the US, as well as regional and global logistics could be severe.

Rest assured, as a team we have put in place contingency plans to address scheduled shipments over the next several days including disaster recovery and startup after the storm passes. These plans include working overtime in advance of the storm, and shifting workload to our other facilities in Tennessee and Europe. Furthermore, sales and customer service personnel outside the region are still likely to have communications capability and will be ready to support you as needed.

In the meantime, should you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to reach out to me or our Global Director of Customer Service, John Resnik (john.resnik@unipowerco.com).

We greatly appreciate your support and patience during this emergency, and will inform you once we’re fully operational post the weather event.

Sincerely,

John M. Carroll
Global Vice President, Sales
